Intro to the journal
I have decided to get intentional with my health and well being. I am starting an audio journal as I walk

I am attempting to use the wireless go pros.
Speaker:What are they called? No wireless pros. The road wireless pros. I'm taking a walk. I
Speaker:have the windscreen on so hopefully that should cut some of the wind out of it.
Speaker:But I just I've made a commitment recently so this is me trying to do
Speaker:like an audio journal. Maybe I'll do it as a podcast, who knows. But I am decided
Speaker:to be less lazy so for me I'm going to try and be more intentional with
Speaker:everything that I do. And that's being intentional with my relationships. That's
Speaker:being intentional with my time. And so for me and my health, being relationship,
Speaker:being intentional, there we go, with my health. So for me what I'm doing is I'm
Speaker:gonna be using these road wireless pros as I walk a little bit and try and get
Speaker:to capture some audio and just see how... see if I can make a good use of my
Speaker:time. So I am walking. Today is the 19th of April and I'm... it's 3-11, a little
Speaker:chilly outside today, but I'm gonna be walking. So this is the start of my
Speaker:intentional journey. I am... I've decided that I want to do something for myself so
Speaker:that I feel better. I want to get outside, breathe in the sun because breathe in the
Speaker:sun. Breathe in the fresh air, take in the sun because 99% of my day... 99% of
Speaker:my work day is spent inside. And so what I have realized is I have to actually get
Speaker:out and be intentional, be outside. So I'm going to be taking these walks three
Speaker:days a week so that I can get outside and just kind of talk and also journal
Speaker:what I'm doing. So I'm gonna do that and then I've also decided that I spend way
Speaker:too much time on my phone. So for me what that means is I'm going to... I'm gonna be
Speaker:trying to put my phone on do not disturb. I have a specific setting for when I'm
Speaker:home with family time that will allow my family members to message me in case
Speaker:they are not at home. But when I'm at home I want to be present with my family. I
Speaker:want to not be looking at my phone so much. I want to give them my attention. I
Speaker:want to be intentional with my relationships with my family. So I am
Speaker:doing that. I'm putting my phone down when I get home and maybe that's only for
Speaker:an hour or what. But I want to be intentional with that. And then likewise
Speaker:I want to leave something to those around me. So I do podcasting a lot
Speaker:obviously because that's what I like to do. But you know I produced two different
Speaker:podcasts and I helped people podcast. But at the same time I like... So there's all
Speaker:of this content that I have produced that is me talking to other people about
Speaker:their stories. But I haven't really had a chance to talk about my story in general.
Speaker:So I want to leave something for my family members when they look back
Speaker:on me and they can have this audio journal if you will of different
Speaker:thoughts and things that I have had. So I'm gonna start doing that which
Speaker:is interesting because I think hopefully it's not rambling on. But so I'm... Yeah
Speaker:I'm out. I decided I'd take this opportunity as I'm trying to get healthy
Speaker:to audio journal and to be able to just have this as a way to look back as a way
Speaker:for my family members to know about me. So in a hundred years when my
Speaker:family and my descendants look back and say what was great great grandpa Andy
Speaker:like they can have my audio and they can have my text because it happens too
Speaker:fast where people leave the earth and then people forget them. And so I want to
Speaker:have this audio journal as some way that my kids can look back and say this is
Speaker:who Andy Layman was. So that is my goal with this audio journal this podcast this
Speaker:whatever you want to call it thing is just my thoughts as I'm going through
Speaker:life and maybe maybe it applies to you maybe it doesn't but I'm going to try
Speaker:it and and see. So again like I said today is Friday April 19th 2024 and I've
Speaker:just decided to get healthy and be intentional with my relationships be
Speaker:intentional with my health be intentional about just being present.
